Question about incubators

there was a thread a little while back where people were posting pics of their incubators, and in one the person has flex watt weaving through water bottles on the bottom, why was it like that? to get the humidity up?

I saw that too, I believe the poster wrote a comment that it helped hold a steadier temp. I guess that would make sence, especialy if useing a regular instead of proportional (sp) thermostat.CM

the water in the bottles get up to a desired temp and it help maintain that temp in the incubator
