I have a female that from what I have seen in the past week has def. ovulated. She was huge and swollen one day and the next it was gone. Well about 3 days later she looked like it again! She has been breeding since Feb 15th. Well I put my male in with her this morning and within an hour they were locked up!!! I even witnessed him using his spurs..moving them back and fourth around her cloaca. Pretty interesting!!! Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Thanks!

Breeding while ovulation?

It's possible that she was just building and not actually ovulating yet. I don't think they ovulate more than once and I haven't heard of a male breeding a female once she has ovulated.

It can happen. Boys will be boys and some males will try and breed a female anytime. I have even seen two male locked up - really!!!
