which wattage do you use. I was thinking of using 4" 8 or 3" 10 watt for 27 qt sterilite tubs

even using the 3" 6 watt you will have to dial it down with a thermo controller, i don't know why you would want to go with something even HOTTER.
the 6 watt 3 inch tape will make for a very nice hot spot. still, be sure to use a rheostat or thermostat to keep from melting your cage.
