There are advantages and disadvantages both ways. A 2007 will be well established by now and have proven it's eating habits and would most likely not be a problem for you. However, the 2007's are fairly well picked over. Not that the remaining ones are bad, just not at the upper end of the color spectrum. Face it, if you're looking at a group of babies you're going to buy the one you like the best. Still are some good lookers left, just not as many to choose from.
The 2008 breeding season is under way with babies due towards the end of summer. Typically for me they are ready for sale around September/October.
If you want a top color baby, get on a wait list. Expect to pay top dollar and wait for it. If you want a good healthy specimen, shop around now and see what there is. Really only you can decide!!!
