my snake slept in the plastic leaves instead of his hidebox...is that normal?

the hidebox is half on the heat pad but i also got lots of empty toilet rolls for the snake for hide inside....instead i noticed he loves the plastic leaves that i stuck on the glass...he sleeps right on top of it...is dat normal?
