I think she is ovulating !

jokerfish Apr 01, 2008 05:01 PM

I checked on my female who I noticed locked up a few times with my male cinny and she is SWOLLEN BIG TIME.I have never bred before, but she feels like she is going to pop. What does it look like to you guys?

She kep trying to getinto her water bowl,so I put her in a 6 qt sterilte to soak for about an hour.My camera died, but I will try to get better pics later tonight. When I picked her up,she was so swollen that her whole body would stay curled up,I bet she feels miserable!

It looks more like developing follicles. If you look down at some of the other posts about ovulation you will se a more pronounced swelling in a specific area not the entire body. Keep on the lookout though. Good luck!

Yep keep pairing them up until you see this!

Notice the swelling in her mid section and also notice the very skinny looking tail.

I've been fortunate enough to have quite a few ovulations this year. Most are "Hey. Cool! An ovulation. I've had 3 that have looked painful for the girl. When I opened my Spiders tub I thought OUCH!!! She has been soaking for almost 2 weeks and just left her water and should shed in a day or two. AND, if I owned a cat, I would know where to find her!!!!

Hey Bill,

Yeah that spider looked like it was gonna BLOW!
I've seen some decent ovulations so far this year, but that one takes the cake! You may be cleaning egg yolk off the walls!
LOL!

I hatched a nice clutch about 1 MONTH AGO!!! (early? or late?)
And I have quite a few in the oven.
Still more to lay.

Should be a decent season for me.

Best wishes on all your projects!
