swwit Apr 01, 2008 05:34 PM

There will be a memorial for Rob Boyle this Saturday, April 5th from 3:00-5:00 pm in the main building of the Abiline Zoo.

For those of you who can attend please do. Rob was a great friend to many and he needs to know just how great. Please spread the word about this important day. Thanks.

Thanks Steve. I would go but I am a couple thousand miles away. He was always a great guy to talk to for a little while when taking breaks on 277 or to be around at the hotel and such. I will miss him.

Steve,

Sorry, I got your email and honestly didn't know how to respond. A friend phoned me from San Angelo and asked if I knew Rob. I explained that I did not.

I hope they were able to get his animals donated to the best facility possible.

It is always sad when we lose a member of our herp community.

Best Wishes,

SXO792

his collection could sold, not donated, and the proceeds used to start a scholarship fund for abilene students of some description that rob would endorse or a zoo exhibit....i know he had lots of $$$ stuff....i.e. his spotted turtles....they need to be taken care of....not just taken....i hope his supporters down there have enough character and integrity to do just this......i'm sure enough of us would not insult rob's spirit...if there were an online auction of sorts......i mean no disrespect to anyone....i'm just hoping his animals get put to productive use in rob's memory....ROB BOYLE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP.....ROB BOYLE EXHIBIT.........
