Foam bowl okay as water bowl liner?

VDR Apr 02, 2008 02:55 PM

I was wondering if laminated foam bowls (bought at a restaurant supply store) would be okay as a crock dish disposable liner instead of using a plastic deli cup.

Just not sure if the foam would cause problems for reptiles.

This foam bowl fits my water dishes better and is much cheaper than the deli cups.

Thanks!!

Brian

I think it would be fine. It might not rinse as clean as a deli cup to be able to re-use it a fewe times.

4 days. I was planning to dispose of the foam bowl every other change.......8 days.

I have 60 snakes now, so I'm trying to cut down on my disinfection time.

Thanks.

yha....

we went out and bought a seperate dishwasher for the reptile bowls--- i can fit about 30 in a load-- sometimes more, some times less-- the boa bowls are cat litter pans so they take longer....

ever thought of a dishwasher? you can get them cheap used--- we installed it in the garage-converted herp house... looks good, works GREAT!!

super big bowls i either line up in the drive way or do in the bath tub...

The 12oz foam bowls from the grocery store nest perfectly in the small crocs. They work perfectly, no probs...
