...I don't know if I missed this in the books or my male Sulcata is unique. Can everyone check the inner rear legs (below the knee) of your Sulcatas??? Is there a single large spur/scale?? My male has one on each rear leg, same size and same location on each rear leg. My two females do not have anything like it.

I don't know how long he has had them. He is about seven years old and I have had him since hatchling size. I just noticed it! The best way to see them is to hold the tortoise head up and let the back legs hang down.

It would be great if everyone would comment if their tortoises have the spurs and if male or female.

Thanks in advance-
Kevin
