How much do your kings weigh?

EddieF Apr 02, 2008 07:07 PM

I weighed mine today. Dexter was 110g and Belle is 807g!

Belle was 665 on February 23. Either she's had a big spring already or our scale sucks!

I had a 5'3" male brooksi that was 1.25 kg (pic below).

Hmmm...I don't know why I mix "feet" with kilograms, hahahahaha. Maybe because I don't have a metric ruler but do have a metric scale.
Oh well, 63" times 2.54. anyone......

hohoho

According to the scale at the vet's, Zorro weighs 634 grams (assuming I recall correctly).

Unfortunatley this girl passed away this winter. She was 15 years old and weighed in at a little under 2000 grams....yes 2000. Right around 4 lbs. She was a sweetheart of a snake and is greatly missed.

sorry Brandon, she was really beautiful.

If you told me I could guarantee 15 years out of Belle I would take it. I hope I can take good enough care of mine for them to live that long. (hell, I hope I can take good enough care of myself to last that long!)

At 2000 grams, how long was she? Do you have pictures of you holding her?

Eddie, I would say she was 60-65 inches give or take. She was a big girl and layed large clutches of very large eggs. She averaged 20 eggs in a clutch and the eggs were around the size of a small chicken egg.....and not a banty chicken.

I had two others that actually beat her in size. They were both brooksi that I got from Daveb several years ago. The female threw 25 eggs on her last clutch and was a bit larger than the female in my previous post. The male was not as girthy, but had a little bit more length. Here's the female. I wish I had a better camera back then. As Dave says, this would make a great poster. Too bad the resolution is too low.

Thanks
