how big does a hogg island boa get? how big a cage do they need and what is their growth rate like? what is their temperment like?

Depends if it is pure or a cross. It is typically spelled 'hogg' when it is a cross. Anywhere from 4.5-6' most likely, if it's a cross with a colombian boa, potential is there to get quite a bit bigger. My pure male is about 4.5'

I keep mine in a glass reptarium, 3x2x2 cage. A larger one may need a 4x2 cage. I have a large branch/log in the cage which he hangs out on all the time. Fairly active compared to some of my other boas (which still isn't much lol). I can't saw what the average growth rate is.

Mine was always very hissy, however he's gotten better over the years. Not much bluff striking, just hissy! (that's a pic of him below from a few years ago) I only have one right now (until later today when I go to the airport to pick up another.)

They are nice boas, they have a drastic light and dark phase and typically are smaller than normal BCi. I hope this info helps. Check out the link below for some more info.
