Ant attack. Sad story.

kungfu28181 Aug 29, 2003 10:38 AM

I went to bed last night with 4 happy healthy treefrogs. When I woke up I went to check on everything and I noticed that my baby bearded dragon was going nuts trying to get into the other cage. When I looked at the red eyes I noticed ants swarming all over the top of the cage and along all of my other cages. I immediately opened the cage (ants starting to swarm all over my arm) and checked the plant for the treefrogs so I could get them out of there. Then I noticed 2 small frog corpses in the top left hand corner of the tank. Swarming all over the 2 corpses were ants. Then I noticed a 3rd corpse covered in ants. And then the last corpse covered in ants. It turned out that the ants were atracted to the piece of orange I put in the tank for the fruit flys. And my bearded dragon was trying to eat the ants.

I dont want gray tree frogs. It was 4 red eyes that got devoured by the ants. I want more red eyes. Though I still feel awful.
