common names

I am a snake enthusiast in Ga. and am familiar with local snakes. I want to learn more about snakes. It would help if people posting would use common names of snakes too. It would make looking up snakes in reference books easier. I recognize some obvious snakes by pic but would like to learn more of the others. Thanks.

You'll usually get more info from the latin names, there tends to be at least 10 common names for every snake.

If you can't put a common name along with a scientific name use google. Scientific names are used because there is tons of overlap between common names between species, and often pages worth of common names for the same snake.
