panther roaming?

do young male panthers act crazy when they reach breeding age?since my male has come of age he bred one female now thats all he wants to do! he roams his cage for hours,only eats a few insects every few days ive tryed varity but no luck.he drinks everyday and trys to eat the bark off of the branches in his cage.could he be roaming because he needs a larger cage?or is he young,dumb,and horny?

You asked if his cage could be too small or if maybe he's young and horny. Hard to say. could be either or neither. What size is the cage? Can he see a female?
I have some males that are very active, and others that are in nearly identical, large enclosures who are content to move very little.

he is in a 20 x 18 cage and he cant see the ladies.

I would suggest that cage is indeed too small, so yes it's possible he's looking for more space. I would suggest the encolusre should be 24" wide, 24" deep and at least 36" high.
What is his cage made of? Do you measure the temperature at the top and bottom of the cage? Is there an adequate temperature gradient?
But even with more adequate accomodation, you may find he still wants to roam.

Also I wonder if his eating the bark off branches is an indication of a nutritional deficiency?
