Water Bowls....

Bighurt Apr 03, 2008 09:12 PM

Curious as to what everyone uses for Water bowls...

Size, make, etc....

I'd like to replace my current bowls and I'm looking for suggestions or product reviews.

I would like to find a make of bowl that makes more than one size in the same look, so that my racks and cages all have similar product.

Thanks

I'd go to Ross or Marshalls and look for the ceramic dog bowls. They come in different sizes, are heavy and cheap.

Well if I weren't stationed in South Carolina I would be all over Ikeas waterbowls.

Check em out they are sweet, well as sweet as you can get for .29 haha but I will totally be stocking up next time I am out in California for Recruiting School

of those, nice and cheap from Walmart.... HOWEVER ;p my boas love to try and fit their big ol' selves under them and it has resulted in big, wet messes!
I still have a few in cages that haven't had that problem, but I've had to pick up heavier ceramic bowls for the others. Most of my snakes are nefarious for tipping bowls with any access to the underside... I wish they weren't, because those are so cheap and efficient...

I get their dog water bowls, the plastic ones. Not the biggest
size but the 2nd largest ones....

They are plastic and cost about $6-7 but they do the job...

I use them in 10 gallon tanks to 4 foot vision cages...

I'm using them now...

I find the Urates of my juviniels stick to them to readily and I'm really looking to get bowls for my adult enclosures.

I'm using litterboxes now...

I went back to the arts and krafts section and I found what looked like glass candy dishes. They are wide, heavy base glass bowls that hold around 24 ozs of water. Not huge but great for a 6-7 ft boa. They cost me a whopping .99 each! The bad thing is that they are heart shaped, lol. Maybe that's why my male wasn't interested...
