I have one and have yet to actually use it on eggs. However, I have done a number of test runs with it. I must say its pretty impressive and easy. The incubator came calibrated from the factory. It works in Fahrenheit and Celsius. It circulates air which keeps the humidity up and condensation down. I live in Colorado which is pretty dry so I have to refill its water reservoir about every 2 or 3 days.
I was disappointed to see that the presets are not species specific. Instead there are generic presets for snakes, tortoises, turtles, alligators, crocodiles, chameleons, geckos, and other (icon shaped like some kind of pterosaur). These presets are more like guidelines. You can tweak them manually any way you want which is quite convenient.
I have found the thermometer and hygrometer to be reliable. I have cross-checked them with my own. The manufacturer sent me a note with my incubator telling me how the earlier incubators had a discrepancy with the humidity. I believe it said something like they recalled the old ones and used a new calibration system to reset the old calibrations. If you don't trust the factory calibrations you have the option of resetting them yourself at home.
I wish the incubator was bigger. It is only large enough for one clutch of eggs. It will become my intensive care unit for special clutches. I plan on using it for animals that have more fragile incubation needs, like Womas.
