i'm sure it's been done before, if not yet,it will be.
i have a pewter male het amel, and a bloodred female het pewter and amel that i will be breeding next season so maybe some for me i hope.
i belive i have heard of this being done already, but don't quote me on that.

Yeah, I'm just curious what effect the pewter will have on the amel. Since there are triple recessive genes will that give me avalanches? Then with the avalanche what would I get? Either way the deed is done I just cant wait to see what the babies will be.

The avalanche to the pewter should produce all charcoals with hets, and the pewter to amel would produce all normals with hets! But the F2 would be awesome!

Wow, got confused there for a minute, but all is back on track, so i should have said all BLOODREDS het for Anery,Charcoal,Amel! Glad i could correct myself before anyone else did! Thats progress right?

I'm sure it has. As ADWE mentioned, assuming no unknown hets, you would get bloodreds that are het for anery, charcoal, and amel.

I don't know what the cross that produced my whiteout or fire were but she is whiteout 66%anery 50%hypo and he is fire 66%charcoal 50%lavender 50%hypo. Although I may be off on the percentages on the male as I'm going off memory. Either way, given that both are possible carriers of both anery and charcoal, I assume there may have been avalanche to pewter in the mix somewhere.

Sean.
