please tell me where I can get one. Does anyone know of some breeders???

tokaysrnice Apr 07, 2008 09:12 PM

There are a few people breeding spilotes, most don't come on the forums too often and the others not at all. You can find wc everyonce in a while and I think theres some for sale under new world ratsnakes. Most WC arne't going to be near as nice (in color and temperment) as most you've seen on these threads. If you want a cb you'll have to battle it out with the rest of us. I have a feeling that in the next couple years you'll start seeing alot more cb animals.

hi is a reference from awhile ago when it seemed all Spiotes posters were named "Bill".I have two gravid females and maybe one more in line to breed. These will be F3 offspring. I'll hold back 1.1 to get to F4. One thing I've found is high yellow parents don't always make high yellow babies...and conversely as well. One is already in the box staking her claim..I thought I might get a "group nesting" but it looks like the other female is about 3 weeks behind.

lol! I remeber when I was asking about them a couple years ago and It was stange that there was nothing but bills.

I've heard that theres no real rule about high yellows, you usually get one real good looking one out of every clutch. I've been going back through archive threads and it looked like the early 2000's had alot of spilotes coming in and also very very little info on them, but there sure were alot of eggs!

He's looking really good Don. Funny, my Spilotes have been "bulking up" a bit too, especially my males. I am going back to smaller meals for them spaced out a bit more.

When I first got this guy he was really fat. I only feed him a small rat every two weeks and he has slowy been trimming down. I personally think this species looks better slender. The stretched out scale look takes away from their appearance imho.
