War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Let me say right off the bat that I don't own any bloods--although I'm planning to buy one soon, which is why I'm hanging around the forum. A friend of mine who has over 100 snakes---including all kinds of bloods----told me some of them as youngsters would ONLY eat chicks, nothing else; he said some seem genetically programmed for it.

Sure you could feed chicks, but there's not much to them, IMO, when compared to similar-sized rodents. The chicks listed on their site are noted as "one to three days" of age. I raise chickens for eggs, and there's just not much substance to a day-old chick...they're mostly fluff & peep at that point.

$.02...
