Hey guys, anyone have any photos showing the color change in hypo pueblans? I know the babies are darker, more of a chocolate brown and I've seen the really nice coloring on the adults. I'm curious, though, to see a progression of pics of one specimen. Anybody have some? I'll be taking my own and posting mine as he grows. I just picked him up Saturday on the way back from the Houston show. Found him in a pet store of all places. And for only $129. The guy who runs the place is a former breeder and said he got the hypo with some other snakes from a wholesaler.

Here's the little hypo Pueblan I picked up Saturday. He's 16" long and in shed right now. I also grabbed this blue-eyed blond Cali from Split Rock at the Houston show. She's 18" long and has a wonderful disposition. Calm but inquisitive.

I don't have any good pics showing color change over a period of time, but its been my experience that the black bands will lighten up over time and turn almost greyish...at least that's what happened with my animals...

I think we may be talking about two different snakes. The one I bought from you in '06 was one of your breeders. A normal Pueblan. Or are we talking about the same one?

She is doing well and has even calmed down quite a bit. She's a great snake. Hopefully I'll have the male ready for her next year. He's already chowing down.
