Proving question

Hey, I had my vet show me exactly how to probe and i have a set myself but my only question was what do you guys use as a lube? or if any? i herd KY works any other suggestions that i might have laying around the house?

I think most people use water.
I use triple antibiotic if I've got it handy.

I would avoid using anything other than water if you are probing animals that are going to be used for a breeding project in the near future. Many substances and/or chemical carriers show various degrees of spermicidal activity. Water is your best bet.

Yes. I agree. Chances are good it will impare reproductive abilities in the short term. Don't recommend it on potential breeders.
