Tell us the scoop on this animal. Where you got it, how old it is, etc. Do you have anymore pics of it that show the entire animal? It looks almost like an IJ as opposed to a jungle with that brown on the flanks.

hallo, no that is not a single animal, i`m breeding this black and white Morelia s. cheynei till years and i wan`t to show this very nice and very rare type of the JCP, because a lot of people don`t know them. you can find this population in australia in the north of the JCP distribution. i put another pic. as link in this answer, if you want to see a pair, let me know. i`m also breeding several other types off carpet pythons, some of my animals are shown at the homepage reptilienworld.com.

it`s me Marc again, sorry, you ask for more details. this pic. shows an adult male that is 8 years old. the best coloration these animals have in an age of between 4 and 7 years. i have adults, subadults, juvenil and babys from this year, out of two lineages, but no more for sale this year. they show the first white pattern when they are around 12 month old and from then on it goes more and more white, till they are around 4 years old. it`s for sure no IJ, i`m breeding IJ as well. you can find the light brownish color only on very small places, where it´s not dark black, have a look at the link i put in my last answer.

hi Jake,
it`s a very beautifull snake with clear colors, but looks for me more black&yellow or yellowish than white. below you see my biggest breeding pair and there and at the first pic.(two days ago) there you can see that they are beautifull pearlwhite on the flanks and underneath and cream white above.
sure they are close to the yellow JCP but is a very rare northern population, and if you see them in real, you will know what i mean.

Marc,

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I was actually thinking that yours looks more like black and gray/silver than black and white. Mine aren't actually white, but they're definitely not yellow. More like a cream or ivory coloration.
