Unique (odd) cage setup thoughts

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to set up a snake tank providing everything the snake needs (cold hide, warm hide, water, etc.), but the snake doesn't know or care what these things look like. I see pictures here of people using paper towel tubes and cereal boxes and snakes love them!

So wouldn't it be kind of funny to set up odd little dioramas that provide shelter but make for amusing circumstances. Like set up a wild west scene with a saloon and a trough for water and a brothel. Or set it up like an office witha desk and chair. Or a little city so it looks like there's a huge snakemonster cruising through the streets.

well it would make for funny photos anyway.

hey eddie,,,i think they did that when they did "Snakes on a Plane"...lol,,,,if I were to do it I would set my Florida up in a setup with a pool and lounge chairs,,,,
But i certainly get what you said about cereal hides,etc...when I started with a few snakes I bought all the expensive hides and bowls,,now with 11,,I start usung what I already have or what I can make out of something else....

The Atlanta Zoo has (or at least did a few years ago) some interesting setups. For example they had an Egyptian Uromastyx in a desert setup with a military theme - a helmet and a canteen (maybe an ammo belt? I forget the details). The lizard didn't care of course - just some round objects that were fine for climbing on.
