Parrot Cages for Chameleons

freckles680 Aug 29, 2003 02:58 PM

I am so new I haven't even got my chameleon yet - still doing loads of research. But I was wondering if a large Parrot cage would be OK to use when my "soon to be acquired when I've sussed this lark out" pet becomes an adult. And, if so, what size should I look for?

Thanks in advance.

Colleen

I have used a bird cage for an adult male veiled. Worked fine. The size depends on what type of chameleon your getting. Good Luck!

from what I have seen, large bird cages, while very pretty, are extremely expensive for what you actually get. Unless you already have the cage, you could probably get a screen cage that is twice the size for half the money.
