Too early??

slw33 Aug 29, 2003 03:03 PM

Is it too early for a dragon to brumate? everything else about him is fine, fecal done last week, temps and such. But he's crawled into clay pot lair, and barely opens his eyes. I've made him wake up a couple of times, and he hasn't lost weight or anything, but doesn't much want to eat either. He's a bit over a year old. I expected him to brumate this year, but starting this early?

Several people have posted recently and their dragons seem to be going into brumation already also. Sometimes they just decide that "now is the time" and nothing you can do will stop them. It is not uncommon for them to think it is time this early. I would just keep track of weight, etc and everything should be fine.
