Pink Progress in Guyana BCC

kitchi Apr 08, 2008 12:41 PM

Here is one from last year's litter. Here she is at two months (2nd pic) old and 6.5 months old (3rd pic). Huge difference. She was almost white at birth. Now the pink is not only on the sides but blends into her back. Also is a pic of her Mom taken after birth (1st pic).

That's awesome, man!
So she was past her fifth birthday when you first bred her?
Do you have pics of the male that bred her?
How many babies were in the litter (if you don't mind all the questions)?
Thanks for sharing!
Aaron

It was her first breeding and she dropped right around her fifth birthday. That is the youngest I would ever try to breed a BCC female and usually wait that long for the males as well. There were only nine babies and some slugs but the babies were big and thick. I have kept them all so far but expect to have to reduce more later this year and some may have to go. She was one of the three or four nicest ones.
