het PB Brooksi

FunkyRes Apr 09, 2008 02:41 PM

This is my '07 from Nokturnal Tom.
He's not as yellow as I would have liked, but I think I need to buy a sulfur line to get that.

Anyway - it's sunny out, so I thought a few pics were in order:

i agree... definitely a good looking animal.. i know it's a het but you can almost see traces of the PB trait in him

Thanks!

I think he's a beaut as well, and I have no complaints, I bought him for the gene and not for possibility of yellow - but I like the yellow brooksi that aren't quite as extreme as the sulfur, so what I'm hoping is that if I pick up a female sulfur - maybe by pairing with him I can produce something inbetween (maybe what I like is low quality sulfur ??)

Anyway - it's amazing how fast his metabolism is compared to western kings. I can feed him twice as much as a similar sized Cal King and he's hungry again in half the time.

i hear ya... i have a lizard eater that i cant get converted over to mice.. its to the point where i'm either gonna have to start breeding anoles for food or move to florida just to feed her...you probably remember when i posted about her not feeding, well she wants to eat but anoles cost ten times that of a pink. let me tell ya thats expensive

That snake looks great. PB hets are never bright yellow, they have a unique look that I could easily identify out of a pile of assorted babies. He really looks awesome!

I am not touching that on a forum like this with a 20 foot snake hook. Too many people who don't even work with these will start telling me what is what.... and I am too busy to argue over such nonsense.
I will email you when I have time. Tom

I gather that means it isn't quite so simple ...

I'm hoping to pick up a female something brooksi this year - and hopefully a female homo PB next year (I've become somewhat focused on corns, so my king acquisition has to slow) - it will be fun to see what happens in the future.

I am hoping to have quite a few flavors of Brooksi and a few cool crosses too. Just starting to pick up over here in the pheremone department. What kind of Corns are you getting into?
