Is digging a real problem?

Hi everyone

I have a big back yard, all covered with tick grass, and I want a tortoise to be in there. I have been researching the Sulcata tortoise and I have read in several websites that they usually burrow and make holes. Is it really a problem? Have anyone have an experience with this that could share it with me?
