Hi everyone

Checked on one of my female Variable kings that im expecting eggs from and found this, its got to be one of the smallest ( non Slug ) variable eggs iv ever seen, 18mm. Next to a normal egg from her Clutch of 9.

What do you think , will it hatch , if it does will it be a dwarf variable or grow to a standard size, what the hell would i feed it, pinky tails.

haha that happened to my cal king last year.... all of her eggs were like 2 1/2 - 3 inches and 1 was smaller than a cornsnake egg!!!!i called it a midget, but all the eggs from her 2nd clutch just went bad out of nowhere....

If it is good...you'll be surprised to find the hatchling will not be that much smaller than the others. (in my experience anyway)

Hey mark ( crimsonking ) , i keep looking at it and just cant see a standard size Variable coming out of something the size of a peanut M&M, their surely cant be enough egg sack , can their.

ChristopherD, i have a couple of Variable kings that lay very viable cream eggs every year, its from one of those females, if it was orange or jelly type or over smooth and wet then i would say slug, it really does look as sound as any other good egg iv had.

Cheers everyone
