First time breeding...a few questions...

DarkHelmet Apr 10, 2008 11:21 PM

I know this question has been addressed before, but I'll bring it up again. I just obtained a large (9 ft ) Colombian female that I plan on breedng to my 6 ft Colombian male. What's the best way to get both into breeding condition? At what months are boas typically bred? I've read certain things like feed the female well for several months to get her slightly overweight because she'll most likely fast while pregnant. Any advice from the pros would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Matt

I will say one thing here. Overweight boas, no matter what, are not healthy.

You want your boas in top condition, and that does not mean overweight.
