Its double clutch common for desert kings? If so, when and how the best way to try it?

Where are you? Mine are hooked up as we speak. I have not double clutched anything yet, but I would imagine it happens in nature frequent enough if all the conditions are right. I would let the female lay the first clutch, give her a few days rest while feeding continually, then introduce the male. Be sure she is fed before!!!

Thanks for the answer Todd. Should I wait for she shed after egg laying or just introduce the male when I think she is a bit recovered? Thanks again.
I don't know whether she will have a second shed to cue her next ovulation. I think this is just a human clue because the pheremones are stronger at the time of shed but I believe she would be ready with viable ovum if fed properly after her first lay. Someone else with more experience could tell you more. It may not be a good idea if she doesn't pack the weight back on immediately.
