Guess my wife is in charge!

Rob328gts Apr 11, 2008 10:09 AM

Well, wife is a big supporter of my hobbies. In regards to snakes she likes them and when working the garden will even bring me the earth and green snakes she catches for me to play with a little. When I brought up the idea of Kings she only asked that I don't buy anything for 2 weeks to make sure that's what I wanted.

Well, 1 month later I have ordered my cage and have already received all the extra stuff I need. When the cage is done and all set up, then I will start looking for a King.

Now here is the gotcha part, she has been learning a little about Kings looking over my shoulder as I browse the internet and read books. I have about 8 different Kings on my want list, but really don't care which one of those I get first. I was leaning to a Speckled because that's what I had as a kid and they are found naturally in my area. Guess what, I was basically told to get a Cali King because it matches our black/white living room and that's where the cage is going.

Yes Mam. :D :D :D

Is there not a speckled phase of Cal King naturally occurring in the wild?

Didn't you know the snake *has* to match the decor! ^_^ Very awesome. It's always good when the spouse shares in the excitement of the first snake. :D

Boy!,.....I'm glad my furniture doesn't match the colors and patterns of my snakes. If so, my place would look like Mr. Furley's apartment on "Three's Company".

I was thinking of accessorizing with snakes... Getting a snake to match each outfit I wear every day... ^_^ I'd have to find a very pink albino Cal King for the one today...

HA HA!!!
Furley's apt. was always dark and eclectic, if memory serves me right.
Who did you prefer Doug? Furley or Mr. Roper?
I always did like Jack and the girl's apt. though.

I liked the GIRLS!,.....the apartments didn't matter too much to me!..LOL!

I liked Stanley(Mr. Roper) alot more than Furley,....Don Knott's was great on the Andy Griffith Show as Barney Fife, but I thought he pretty much sucked on Three's Company.

Yeah, I liked Mr. Roper much better! The Ropers I believe had a spinoff show after their characters left TC. So funny!

Home decor and reptile keeping can complement one another. Vivarium that are aesthetically pleasing, and beautiful display animals are found not only in living rooms, but people's work spaces as well. Some keep fish in an aquarium, while others keep a beautiful snake.

My living room is decorated in eclectic Japanese-inspiration. I moved a pair of my E. climacophora (Japanese rat snakes) out of the herp room and into nice, well illuminated display cages. They look great there, provide great chi to the room, and certainly take care of small talk topics when people come over to visit.
rgds,
althea
