Has your wayward "Alice"/turtle decided to come out of "Wonderland"/the rabbit hole? Do you live in an area where turtles are native?

If you don't find her in the hole you can so what I have done-get everyone on their hands and knees in a line and start from one end of the yard to the other and leave not a blade of grass untouched or rock unturned. Good luck!

No, sigh, no sign of her! It has gotten quite cold again here. Foruntantly, she "escaped" into the EBT pen, so she isn't going to far, except for the tunnel. The tunnel only goes into a side of a hill, so it doesn't come out anywhere. If she goes deep enough, she should stay warm enough, but the soil is very sandy, and I'm afraid she won't be able to climb out again!

We do have EBT living in the area - she is an ornate. My male ornate lives in this pen in the summer. If he has ever gone down that hole, he wasn't in there very long! I was always able to find him whenever.

If it gets a little warmer, I could sit by the hole for awhile and talk. If she is hungry enough, I'm sure she would come out if she can.
