Skin Question for the Gecko Heads....

APLAXAR Apr 11, 2008 06:04 PM

ok so i have a fat tail gecko in my care, i know its not a leo, but the question is universal.

He had a wicked case of mouth rot, but i cured that, last night he just shed his skin, and on a patch on his head it looks shiney, and i am wondering if possibly he shed a layer of his skin more than he should of and that is why he has a shiney apperance, i put a very thin coat of antibiotic ointment on this spot in hopes that it would protect it.

Any other ideas as far as what it could be and what else i should do to help this little guy out?

Sounds to me like scar tissue. Could just be awhile before it returns to normal if it ever does.
