What size tank for a adult pair of rats?

just curious what is a good size tank for a pair of adult rats? Would a 10 gallon work?

a ten gal tank would not work for a pair of rats. they need more space to move when the reach full size and they would produce too much amonia and the cage would need to be cleaned multiple times a week. a ten gal would be ok for the female when whe gives birth to her litter. i use 35 gal plastic tubs with hardware cloth on the sides. it gives them room to run and and has good ventilation to prevent amonia bildup in the cage.
