Vision Racks

dave79 Apr 13, 2008 09:41 AM

Does anyone here use the vision racks for ball pythons? How do you like them compared to other racks you've used? Thanks

I have been using visions racks for about a year now. Lots of vent holes means humidity levels need to be kept right in the snake room. I suppose you could close up some of the holes with tape or somthing. I think I would buy another. So far no problems.
Comes apart easy if you need to move it.

I have about 20 of them in 4 different sizes from hatchling racks (I really love these) up to CB70 size. The racks are sturdy yet light and manueverable and one person can roll them around and they fit easily through a standard sized door opening. There are several good racks out there, but I really like the vision racks. I think they provide the best combination of functionality and value available today.
Good luck

Love mine! Love the price, love the convenience, love that you can customize them to your collection - that you can customize how much heat goes on each level and where it goes - no more worrying about the top levels being too hot and the lover levels being too cold.

The only think I don't like is that they collect dust - and I haven't yet figured out the best way to clean around all the cable slots. Otherwise they get two thumbs up from me.

for my adult and sub adult BPs. I love them! The price is great, the ease of use is great - I just wish I could afford to buy them for all of my adult corns as well!

I like the fact that they have a lot of ventilation. As stated, you can always cover some of it if you like. But the extra ventilation means I don't have to worry about overheating with the heat cable - the excess will escape. My home made 28 qt. Rubbermaid racks for corns and smaller BPs don't have nearly as much ventilation and can get TOO wet at times, and too hot. Temperature control is much more critical for those smaller, more enclosed racks. I have heard of too many equipment failures to want to depend on thermostats and other equipment more than necessary.

I don't think I would buy any other commercial rack I have seen so far, based on what I have seen, and the best value for the money.

I have the original Vision CB70 racks and love them. Wish they still made this model but they switched to plastic. Ron

The V-70 racks for adult balls have a couple inches of the poles sticking up above the top shelf, this makes a great paper towel holder.
