New Baby Need Help

Kuabara43 Apr 13, 2008 06:04 PM

I just picked up a new leo yesterday and it doesnt want to eat anything. It has both pinhead crickets and waxworms but actually seems to fear the crickets. Its very active so it seems to be okay, but im still worried. Also, i need some help identifying what morph it is. It is all yellow with a white ring on its head as well as a couple of brown spots on its back

Also, he spends most of his time at one end of the tank, he refuses to get into his hidebox. Anytime i attempt to place a worm in front of his face, he hisses and lunges at me. I've tried to feed him twice today, im giving up for today just to avoid overly stressing him out. Again it is only about 3 or for inches long.

if you just got him yesterday he's probably scared to death. give him a couple of days to calm down and if after a week he's still not eating then we can freak out. just leave some mealies in a bowl with calcium and see if he eats overnight...

this is absolutely normal leopard geckos get stressed easily and usualy dont eat for 1-2 weeks after you get them also the hissing and lunging is also normal for such a small juvenile gecko just leave it alone for a week or 2 and dont handle it it will eventualy eat

It finally 2 ate waxworms today, but when it pooped, both of the waxworms that it had eaten came out looking almost entirely the same

bad news: He stopped eating again and contineus to run form food. He refuses to get into his hide and is constant;y sleeping in the corner of his tank. On top of it all, he seems to have a wet spot on his noise that will not dry up.
