k I haven't posted in a while so i'll make a long post of my recent finds.

went for a long herping day from sunup to sunset on sat weather was great and herping was good first find was this lil eastern mud turtle

walking along the edge of a carteret county pond I also found a dead chicken turtle no pics as I thought it was a yellow belly slider. got back in my car and started driving around. found a nice lil roadside ditch and in was this nice looking spotted turtle

wasn't to cooperative, as I left the spotted to hop in the car I saw this on the ground and within a few feet another barking treefrogs (lifers)

I'm gonna throw in a few other frogs seen a week or so ago

southern cricket frog (lifer)

and a few toads

easten spadefoot

I think this is a southern toad

and a southern leopard frog (lifer)

ok now back to modern day. I'm driving down the road and stop to remove this critter from the road

after a few pics i remove it to the roadside. as I drive along about an hour later I see this on the roadside easter glass lizard (lifer)

I hopped out of the car and begin to walk up to it thinking its a gartersnake (i scream glass lizard and my wife gives me a funny look I dive on it and wrassle it for my pics, thing is squirmy as can be and not into being photoed, walk towards the car a kick a soda bottle under it was a baby glass lizard

I'm thinking it's been an incredible day and stop to stretch (and off course flip some roadside trash)

Great shots!

I have been trying to get out to that side of the state, I am definitely envious.

Great day indeed! That is a perfect spotted turtle and any day you find an eastern to remove tops the cake!
