This afternoon I put these Anery Gaps together for the first time and they locked up in under 10 minutes.
My fingers are crossed for sure!

Yes, its sheet metal.I have used it for 20 years and love it.It transfers the heat from rear to front more evenly and keeps the tubs from ever catching on the heat tape.
