This Clevelander did a little vacationing in Los Gatos lat week. Here is a sampling of what I found:

Slender Salamanders were very common.

There was no shortage of fence lizards either.

One of two California Kings found on the trip.

Arboreal Salamanders are sometimes quite large.

Two Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes were uncovered beneath tin in different cities.

Several Western Toads were uncovered as well.

In a single afternoon we caught 3 Pacific Gopher Snakes.

This little ringneck was the only example we found.

The conditions were pretty good for Pacific Treefrogs.

This little Sharptail Snake was a pretty cool find.

Alligator Lizards were plentiful, probably due to the damp ground.

This California Newt had a deformed tail.

This young Yellowbelly Racer was a "lifer" for me.

Ensatinas can be colorful.

A few Western Skinks were seen.

It was an excellent adventure!
