Does feeding live vs frozen mice or rats make ball pythons more aggressive???
Ive fed both and it seems to have no effect on their temperment. Ball pythons are usually pretty mellow anyways

Live or dead makes no difference in their aggressiveness or lack of. I've got a 17 year old pair that have eaten live all their lives, and in that amount of time I've been bitten once by the female. No offense ladies, but I just blamed it on that
. Stress, or fear, is more a contributer to agressiveness than anything else. Just my thoughts.

great thank you
they are wild, they like to kill and eat live, hot prey,,,they are in a box and so bored it is pathetic....all they have is the kill once a week for half a year and the occasional boyfriend we throw in with them (or 4 girlfriends)..........
.....my $.01

um, i suppose you could take them out to play once in awhile? they do like to explore, lol! I'm jk, mine love eating in any form, but it's pretty much fun for both of us when they get live, just being careful is they key...

Pa is the biggest puppy mill place......Lancaster county is one of the worst......guess where I live.....they have kitty mills too....and we have snake mills....someday peta will come after us......hopefully Bob Barker is dead by then.I do not want to meet him and Betty White at a Reptile show someday.....gawwwd......
.....I throw inj prey and move on..when they are eating really well it's just throw what I know they want and go and you hear the smack from the last box as you go.....I check them regularly and take out uneaten stuff......mostly....I have missed and forgotten at times......I haven't lost but one baby ball in 18 years......have had one chew out the top of the cage/rack and get out...unfortunately the ball will follow it out the newly created hole......and they can make a mess......check your cages very well.....mice and rats can hide......even under the snake....and the snake doesn't say a word......

rats under snakes= LMAO!
My roommate in the college dorms was traumatized as a kid, one snake didn't eat it's mice, and instead the three of them (two at a time? hmm) snuggled up for several days. then the teacher fed them to another snake that nailed them completely. she thought they were too friendly to die
honestly, they might have been good candidates for breeders IMO if they were that gentle of rodents. lol
