Greetings

FYI, I'm a newbie.
However, standard quarantine seems to be 3-6 months.

I have no idea about your breeding-timing question.

And as for IBD, we had to put down most of our pets because of it--3 adults and 2 litters, with a singular exception who is now in life-long quarantine (how ever long that life is), especially since we also have a ball python.
Our male was the only one we had the money to test-- and that was by necropsy. Usual signs are supposed to be star-gazing and inability to right themselves, however, we never saw that. He never even went off his food. What he DID have was a chronic upper-respiratory, and that was what we ultimately had to put him down for. Our two females as well. We had been told that he had IBD based on a blood smear complete blood count test, but I was told those weren't necessarily accurate. By the time we had him put down, he had it in every system, most of his organs, and it was slowly taking out his digestive tract. BUT THERE WERE NO EXTERNAL SIGNS--- other than the upper respiratory which caused him to have "bellows-breathing" but no real mucus in the mouth.
This is my experience. Take it for what it's worth.

Sorry for the long post. I wish you well and health to all of yours
