My Male is on the Prowl!

RayT3 Apr 15, 2008 08:58 PM

I have a male Florida Kingsnake. I know he's a male as I had the vet check him. The last week and a half he has grown more and more active. He's eaten very little. I searched the forums and have read that this is normal for males who are seeking a mate. My question - how long will this last? Should I offer food or just let him prowl. And, will he hurt himself with his constant rubbing of the cage?

BTW, the pic was taken last summer. He's grown since then!

Thanks!
Ray

He's a pretty guy! Just offer maybe once every two weeks until he takes something then go back to a normal schedule... shouldnt be long he'll resume feeding ..

Thanks!

He's starting to get back to normal now. Not eating much, but in shed right now.
