My first Boa litter!!!!

Shawn_T Apr 15, 2008 11:41 PM

I had this litter on Easter morning. There was 29 healthy babies with zero stillborns or slugs. The father was a Motley male from Jeremy Stone that is 66% het Albino and 50% het Stripe. The mother is posted below along with a holdback female.
The litter breakdown is...

8.8 Normal Siblings
5.8 Motleys

13 Total Motleys. Not to bad right?

Thanks for looking

What a great way to start. That is a very nice litter for anyone to produce. It is particularly good to start with Motleys as I find them to be very easy to work with as babies and as they grow.
Congratulations.

Thanks for all the kind words from everyone.
It was an awesome sight to walk in on. It was the first litter for both the parents. I placed the two together on November 10th and 135 days later I got a perfect litter from two virgin snakes. You all have way more experience with boas than I do, but is this fairly common? Please, I would love to hear every ones thoughts on this.

Thanks
Shawn

Congrats!!! That's one heck of a first litter. Keep us posted on how they turn out. I see a few keepers in there. Great odds too.
