Starting a project.

heavychevy860305 Apr 16, 2008 10:16 AM

I am wanting to start a breeding project with my normal male Ball (when he is big enough). How would I go about locating a (few) female(s) with which to breed him to? All I would want in return would be a female and/or one of any visual morph from a co-dom. Anything else would be negotiated in the contract. How would I go about locating someone with which to do this? Any help, assistance and tips would be greatly appriciated!

Hi, HeavyChevy!

Are you looking for females for a breeding loan? Male normals are pretty inexpensive and readily available, so most folks looking for one to breed with will probably just buy one.

My suggestion for you would be to pick up a lady or two of your own, perhaps a normal, maybe a less pricey morph like a pastel. That's pretty much my plan; focus on females for at least a year, then add a male or two so they mature at about the same time - and meantime, enjoy your animals!

Forget the normal male, keep him as a pet, get a few normal girls 1000 grams or higher(often you can find them for 75 and up)and pick up a male morph like a pastel, spider or if you can afford it a lesser. i dont know anyone who actually uses normal males to breed, its not worth the time.
