I am new to breeding balls and was my wife is wanting to breed an male 100% het for pied and a normal female. Is there a good chance that this will produce a pied?

no chance, all the offspring will be possible hets.
damn that really sucks, so I am goona have to find a female het for pied as well?
hmmm.. wouldnt it be 25% pied 50% het 25% normal?

the best advice i can give is to ask a lot of questions and study EVERYTHING you can. look at the matrix on ralph davis's site. it might help you.....

morph x morph = 100% morph
het morph x het morph = 66% chance het for morph
het morph x normal = 50% chance het for morph
normal x normal = 100% normal
this guide refers to only recessives.
Genetices isn't that hard when you get to understand it. Practice with some Punnett squares and you'll get the hang of it.
