I am new to breeding balls and was my wife is wanting to breed an male 100% het for pied and a normal female. Is there a good chance that this will produce a pied?

teddy311 Apr 16, 2008 07:30 PM

damn that really sucks, so I am goona have to find a female het for pied as well?

FatBoyBallPython Apr 16, 2008 07:31 PM

Het X Het breeding will get you 50% normal, 25% Het and 25% Pied statistically. NO guarentee to get a Pied though.

yep!

FatBoyBallPython Apr 16, 2008 07:30 PM

Statistically 50% of the offspring will be Het for Pied and 50% will be normal. All will look the same.

thanks alot for the advice

morph x morph = 100% morph

het morph x het morph = 66% chance het for morph

het morph x normal = 50% chance het for morph

normal x normal = 100% normal

this guide refers to only recessives.

Genetices isn't that hard when you get to understand it. Practice with some Punnett squares and you'll get the hang of it.
