Now I'm confused. I thought a tangerine albino had to be only two colors not 3 and the snake in the pic has two shades of orange. What exactly is the defining trait for tangerine albino versus albino?

And by the way killer snakes and a cool pic as well.

Your right in the fact that a tangerine albino has mostley one shade of red/orange and white. Some in the past have called these types pictured below Tangerine Albino's (I call the intermediate tricolor albino's). As you can see it has a mixture of both yellow and orange. The one shannon has above appears to have mostly one shade of red/orange to me. I'm sure Terry has a page of opinions for you on this topic, like wider band widths etc.

NOT Tangerine Albino's

Yeah that's what was throwing me and still is I guess. If you look closely at Shannons the thin orange bands are a lighter shade than the thick ones. Granted they aren't yellow as opposed to orange but as far as I can tell they are not the same shade where on the pic of Terrys they are the same color.

Guess I'll have to continue waiting to get a definitive answer.

Like any snake there are grades. I remember way before any morph Hondurans there were normals and tangerine. The tangerines were red, black and orange. By now they have selectively bred the tangerines to be basicly red, black and red. It doesn't mean the red, black and orange ones are not tangerines anymore, just now there are better grades. I believe Shannon gets about $750 for his and Terry gets about $1,100.

What a pic! One of the greatest Milk pics I have ever seen. I would love a poster of those morphs for my snake room. Tom
