I find a lot more to believe about this issue at a national level than the burms taking hold of the lower 1/3 of the US.

Well, I am a geologist and you will likely find that it is rather ironic that I believe that I saw a news story about the feral cat population in the San Antonio Sunken Gardens area in the last year that a local animal rights groups successfully achieving their protection.

If they want to "protect" them then they need to trap them spay/neuter them and then try to find them a home. I would respect that effort, even thouth I would expect it fail for a number of reasons.

Sometimes I think these activist have no common sense...

At any rate, cute and furry pets are greater threat than burms etc. in South Florida to native fauna nationwide. How long would it take a couple of cats to wipe out an area of native ground nesting birds?
