Neverending pregnancy...Roswell's aunt

ilovemylizard Apr 17, 2008 04:08 PM

Well it looks like this girl is determined to drive me mad just like her sister did last year...

This is Stella, a 50/50 Surinam cross het for Kahl albino. She is the sister of Roswell's parents...gravid by the same father...

She was supposed to be due the first week of March...obviously the babies don't want to come out and play...Last year her sister Myra went 42 days over...I am at a loss with these two...

Anyway, here are some pics from the last 6 weeks...she is crammed full of something, I am very excited to see what is in there...

Curious, what body temperature has she been maintaining & how many days has it been since the swell.

ilovemylizard Apr 17, 2008 10:35 PM

The male began courting her October 8th. I witnessed a massive swelling on October 25th, and a shed November 12th...

She did shed again on January 31st, but she was displaying obvious gravid behavior long before this...I do not believe this was a late POS shed.

She has been coiling on the heat and laying sideways/odd body positioning since early December...the hotspot in the cage is at 90F. Ambient cool end is about 80F.

Her sister did the exact same thing through her pregnancy...she went 42 days past her ovulation...

Hi Heather,
I wish you the best of luck with this upcoming litter. I certainly hope you produce a few more Roswell's, and a living albino would be incredible. I am sure you will keep us posted. How is the last Roswell doing?
