wont even eat a ASF

Hissenia Apr 17, 2008 08:06 PM

Well.. its been five months since my boy ate. He was doing great eating like a champ on F/T medium rats every 10 days or so. He went off feed for what i figured was typical winter behavior.

so after trying his favorite F/T medium rats every 2 weeks for the past 5 months with no response, I tried a live ASF for the first time... much to my suprise he turned his nose at this too!

my temps are 80- 85 ambient and 90 hot side.. hide, newspaper substrate, fresh water. I didnt make any changes when he went off feed. Everything has stayed the same routine and setup.

SO anyone have any ideas?? He is starting to thin out a bit.

Thanks

I agree with Tosha. Wait it out a bit longer. My pair has gone six months now with no show of interest yet and my female will typically go seven or eight months. I've had this pair for many years now so I've learned not to panic anymore . They will eat when they're ready.
